Review their Audit Reports specifically for their production capacity and quality control processes. It is highly recommended to check if the supplier has a proven track record of exporting to regulated markets like the EU or USA, as this indicates a higher level of quality consistency.

The primary risks include oxidation during sea freight and physical damage due to improper stacking. To mitigate this, require the supplier to use VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) packaging and heavy-duty, palletized corrugated boxes. Ensure the shipping terms (Incoterms) are clearly defined; CIF or DAP are often preferred for buyers who want the supplier to handle the complexities of international logistics and insurance.

Request a minimum 2-year warranty on the mechanical integrity of the castors. In your contract, specify a Defective Allowable Rate (DAR)—typically below 1%. Negotiate for the supplier to provide 1-2% extra units as free spare parts with the bulk shipment to cover immediate replacements, and ensure there is a clear agreement on reimbursement or replacement protocols for batch failures discovered during third-party pre-shipment inspections.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by the platform to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt and inspection of the goods.
