Functional designs like envelope necklines, two-way zippers for easy diaper changes, and integrated scratch mittens add significant value. Ensure all seams are flat-locked or finished smoothly to avoid chafing the infant's delicate skin. For sleepwear, ensure the design meets flammability standards (e.g., 16 CFR Part 1610).

Sizing varies significantly between US, UK, and Asian standards. You should provide a detailed Size Specification Chart to the supplier, including measurements for chest, height, and trunk length. Request pre-shipment samples in the full size range (e.g., 0-3M, 3-6M, 6-12M) to verify the fit. A shrinkage tolerance of less than 5% after washing is the industry benchmark for quality infant knits.

Always conduct a Factory Audit or request a Verified Supplier report to confirm the manufacturer's production capacity and history.
