For food-related packaging, verify that the inks and adhesives are FDA-compliant or food-grade. Quality-wise, check the Peel Adhesion (N/25mm) and Tensile Strength ratings to ensure the tape won't snap or peel off during transit.

Always provide your logo using Pantone (PMS) color codes rather than CMYK or RGB to ensure consistency. Request a digital proof (mock-up) for approval before production. For large orders, it is highly recommended to pay for a physical pre-production sample to verify the ink density and adhesive performance on your specific boxes.

Custom printing requires a copper or polymer plate (cliché). This is usually a one-time setup fee. Ensure the supplier agrees that the plate is your property and will be stored for at least 12-24 months for re-orders. To protect your brand, ensure the supplier is reputable and has a policy against selling your overrun stock or branded tape to third parties.

Tape is heavy and relatively low-value per roll, making Sea Freight (FOB or CIF) the most economical choice for bulk orders. To maximize container space, ask the supplier for optimized palletization layouts.
