Ensure the system features an Automatic Liquid Feeding System and Load Cell Weighing Modules to guarantee batch-to-batch consistency and formula accuracy.

Since paint manufacturing involves volatile organic compounds (VOCs), the equipment must be Explosion-proof (Ex-standard), including motors, control cabinets, and sensors. Verify compliance with ISO 14001 for environmental management and ensure the plant includes a Dust Collection System and Vapor Recovery Units to meet international emission standards.

Focus on the Automation Level; a semi-automatic line reduces initial CAPEX but increases labor costs, while a Fully Automated PLC-controlled system (e.g., Siemens or Schneider) optimizes yield and reduces waste. Evaluate the Energy Consumption Ratio per ton of paint produced and prioritize suppliers offering Modular Designs that allow for future capacity expansion without replacing the entire line.

For Water-based paints, equipment must be made of Corrosion-resistant Stainless Steel to prevent rusting. For Solvent-based paints, the primary focus is Static Grounding and Flameproof Sealing. If you plan to produce both, you must ensure Dedicated Piping or a high-efficiency CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) System to prevent cross-contamination.

Never skip the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test). If you cannot visit the factory in China personally, hire a third-party inspector (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the Pressure Vessel Certificates, motor specifications, and run a Dry Test of the agitators. Ensure all Technical Manuals and Circuit Diagrams are provided in English.

Use Flat Rack or Open Top Containers for oversized tanks and ensure all sensitive electronics are Vacuum-packed with Desiccant to prevent sea-salt corrosion. Negotiate for the supplier to provide On-site Installation Supervision and Staff Training; if travel is restricted, insist on Detailed Video Installation Guides and 24/7 remote technical support.

For large-scale industrial projects, use a Letter of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Structure payments by milestones: 30% Deposit, 60% after successful FAT, and 10% Retention Money payable after the machine is commissioned at your facility.

Prioritize suppliers who maintain a Stock of Wearing Parts (like mechanical seals, filters, and beads) for at least 5 years. Confirm that the PLC Software is Unlocked, allowing your local engineers to perform basic troubleshooting without being entirely dependent on the manufacturer for every minor software glitch.
