The most critical factor is the Wheelbase (distance between axle centers), which must match your chassis (common sizes include 257mm for 1/10 touring cars and 313mm for crawlers). Additionally, check the Width (e.g., 190mm vs 200mm) to ensure tires do not rub against the arches. Confirm if the body is 'Pre-cut' or 'Uncut'; uncut bodies require specialized curved scissors and body reamers for mounting.

Ensure the materials comply with REACH and RoHS standards, especially regarding the absence of harmful phthalates in plastics. If the bodies are intended for children, they must meet EN71 (Europe) or ASTM F963 (USA) toy safety specifications. For branded replicas (e.g., Ford, Toyota), verify that the supplier holds a valid licensing agreement to avoid intellectual property infringement and customs seizures.

Inspect the uniformity of wall thickness, especially at the corners and pillars, which are prone to thinning during the vacuum-forming process. High-quality molds result in sharp body lines and defined light buckets. Request photos of the protective film application; a high-quality film prevents overspray and scratches during transit and the painting process.

The main risk is deformation or cracking due to pressure in stacked containers. RC bodies are 'hollow' and take up significant volume. To mitigate this, insist on nested packaging (stacking bodies inside each other) with internal support structures and use 5-layer corrugated outer cartons. Consider Dimensional Weight (Volumetric Weight) charges, as shipping costs may exceed the product value if not optimized.

Focus on mold ownership and exclusivity if you are requesting custom designs. For wholesale, negotiate based on tiered pricing (MOQ); typically, a 10-15% discount is achievable for orders over 500 units. Ask for free samples of existing molds to verify material 'flex' before committing to a large production run. Ensure the Incoterms (e.g., FOB or CIF) are clearly defined in the contract.

Always use secure payment methods provided by the platform to ensure fund safety. Request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party to verify that the quantity and quality match the Proforma Invoice.
