Not recommended. Repeated freezing thawing damages meat texture, causes bacterial growth, increases gamey odor and makes meat tough. Process thawed duck meat in one go.

Short term slight thawing with no off odor, sourness or excessive blood leakage allows immediate refreezing or same day processing. Discard the product if left at room temperature too long, or if it becomes soft and sticky.

Thaw slowly in a refrigerator first; cold water soaking is an alternative. Avoid hot water thawing or long term room temperature storage to prevent surface spoilage and bacterial growth.
