Q:What is the difference between UHMW and HDPE?

UHMW has very long polymer chains and high molecular weight, while HDPE has short polymer chains and low molecular weight. UHMW is produced with metallocene catalyst and has zero water absorption, whereas HDPE is produced with Ziegmann-Natta catalyst and may absorb water slightly.
