Q:What materials do you use to produce extruder screw barrels?
A:
We mainly use 38CrMoAlA as base material. Two mainstream surface treatments are available: full nitriding and bimetallic alloy lining. Nitrided type is cost-effective for ordinary PE/PP extrusion; bimetallic screw barrel features ultra high wear & corrosion resistance, ideal for PVC, filled plastic, recycled material and flame retardant plastic processing.
Q:Can you customize screw barrels according to my drawings or requirements?
A:
Yes. We support full OEM & ODM customization. We can adjust diameter, L/D ratio, screw structure, vent holes, alloy layer thickness, inlet/outlet size and length based on your extrusion machine model, raw material and production output demand. Single screw, parallel twin screw and conical twin screw barrels are all customizable.
Q:How long is the service life of your screw and barrel?
A:
Nitrided screw barrel: 6-12 months, for non-filler PE, PP, ABS.
Bimetallic lined screw barrel: 1-3 years, suitable for materials with calcium carbonate, glass fiber, PVC and recycled scraps.
Service life also depends on raw material formula, daily running hours and maintenance habits.
Q:Is your screw barrel compatible with my existing extruder machine?
A:
We can produce replacement screw barrels matching all mainstream extruder brands. You just need to provide machine model, barrel inner diameter, total length, L/D ratio and connection size, we will make perfectly matched replacement parts without modification to your equipment.
Q:What's your production lead time?
A:
Standard size nitrided screw barrels have stock, delivery within30 working days. Custom bimetallic screw barrels take 35-40 working days based on drawing complexity and order quantity.
