High Temperature Textile PU Coated High Silica Fabric

PU coated high silica fabric is a high temperature textile made from high silica fiberglass fabric with a polyurethane coating applied to one or both sides. The silica fabric provides high temperature resistance while the PU coating improves surface protection and handling characteristics.

High silica fabric grades are commonly specified for continuous service around 1000 degrees Celsius. The actual temperature rating depends on the fabric construction and application conditions. The PU coating normally has a lower temperature limit than the silica substrate, so the finished product should be selected according to the actual heat exposure.

The high silica substrate provides excellent flame and heat resistance. However, the PU coating has its own temperature limitations. For direct flame or extreme temperature applications, the coating selection and exposure conditions should be evaluated before use.
