However, since electrolyte sensitivity can vary depending on the overall formulation (surfactant type, pH, other additives), we recommend a small-scale compatibility trial before scaling up production.
Q:What is the recommended dissolution method, and how do I avoid clumping?
A:
HPMC disperses well in cold water. To avoid clumping, we recommend adding the powder gradually under continuous agitation, or pre-dispersing it in a small amount of water/glycol before adding it to the main batch. Avoid adding large amounts of powder directly into still water, as this can cause surface clumping.
