A car buffer polisher is a rotary or random-orbital power tool that spins a polishing pad to apply, buff and cut compound into a vehicle's paint. It is used to remove oxidation, swirl marks, light scratches and water spots, to apply and buff wax, and to bring back a deep gloss. The CCP-12A is a cordless, brushless buffer polisher with 6 speeds and a 145mm pad, so one tool handles waxing, buffing, polishing, cleaning and light paint correction.

The six speed levels let you match the machine to each stage. A low speed is for applying wax and gentle buffing, a medium speed is for polishing and general cleaning, and a high speed is for cutting paint defects, swirl marks and oxidation. The 145mm (about 6-inch) pad is the standard polishing disc size, attached with a hook-and-loop fastener so you can swap it in seconds. It fits 145mm foam, wool and microfiber pads for each stage - a cutting pad for oxidation, a foam pad for polishing, and a soft pad for waxing and buffing. The larger pad covers more panel area per pass than a smaller polisher.

The CCP-12A uses a true brushless 4-pole motor. Brushless means no carbon brushes to wear out, so you get more power, longer runtimes, lower noise and an extended motor life than a brushed polisher. It also runs cooler and more efficiently, which matters over a full-car detail.
