It is specially developed for resin-coated sand / shell molding applications and is suitable for producing coated sand for steel, iron and non-ferrous metal castings.
Q:Does the resin require a curing agent?
A:
Yes. This thermoplastic novolac phenolic resin is designed to be used with hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA/Urotropine) as the curing agent.
Q:How can I choose the suitable resin grade?
A:
PF2123a is recommended for high strength steel casting applications, PF2123b features fast curing speed, while PF2123c is designed for high-strength requirements. The final grade should be selected according to the casting material and production process.
Q:What is the standard packaging of the phenolic resin?
A:
The standard packaging is 25 kg per bag, using paper-plastic composite bags or PE bags. Customized packaging can be discussed according to order requirements.
Q:How should the resin be stored?
A:
Store it in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place, protected from moisture. At temperatures of 25 or below, the recommended storage period is up to 6 months. Once the package is opened or damaged, the resin should be used promptly.
