Q:Is ProtecMBC1562 suitable for seawater desalination RO systems?

Yes. It is designed for seawater / high salinity RO pretreatment to control bacteria, algae and bio-slime. It must be neutralized by ProtecMBC1570 / 1571 reductant before the RO membrane to avoid membrane oxidation damage.

Q:What is the recommended dosing method for seawater desalination?

Continuous addition in pretreatment section. Normal dosage:10-30ppm. Keep free active at 0.2-0.5mg/L. Install residual monitor before RO membrane.

Q:Can this biocide be directly injected into the RO membrane section?

No. It is an oxidizing product. Residual oxidant will permanently damage RO polyamide membranes. Always add matching reductant ahead of membrane vessels.

Q:What are the storage & packaging specifications?

25kg plastic drum, customized package available. Store in cool, dark room. Separate from acids and reducing agents. Shelf life: 1 year.

Q:What safety precautions should operators follow?
