The CWDS screw operates at 8 to 12 rpm, among the lowest shear speeds of any forced convection mixer. The screw lifts and folds material gently rather than impacting it at high tip speed. The cone geometry also prevents material from falling freely, which is the primary source of impact damage in tumbling type mixers. We recommend running at the lower end of the speed range and confirming minimum uniformity time before locking the cycle parameter.

The CWDS 2000 covers 400 kg per batch with mixing time of 6 to 10 minutes, the same range as smaller models because the four flow mechanism scales with screw coverage area rather than batch weight alone. Confirm minimum uniformity time with a three point sample at 6, 8 and 10 minutes during the first production run.

A liquid addition port is available at order stage. The port directs spray into the active screw zone for immediate distribution into the powder mass. The conical body seals at the top cover, keeping spray contained within the mixing zone. Specify your liquid addition rate and binder viscosity at order and we size the nozzle for your process.

Open the top cover, remove the screws per the disassembly drawing, rinse all stainless steel contact surfaces with water, sanitize with food approved solution, rinse again and run a brief dry cycle. Swab the screw surfaces and cone interior at the specified sampling points before the food batch.
