Yes. The main shaft runs at 32 to 65 rpm depending on model, which is a low shear gentle tumbling action rather than high speed impact. The ribbon lifts and folds material rather than cutting it. For coated granules, we recommend the lower end of the speed range and a shorter mix cycle timed to uniformity rather than running maximum duration.

Residue is very low. The ribbon continues rotating during discharge, actively sweeping material toward the center bottom outlet. Combined with the butterfly valve full bore opening, the trough empties to a thin film layer that cleans out in seconds. For allergen sensitive applications, a brief dry purge cycle with a neutral carrier between batches clears the remaining film.

The CWRB 1500 covers 800 to 1000 kg per batch at 11 kW and is the correct model for 800 kg batches at twelve hour daily duty. Typical mix cycle for dry powder is 5 to 15 minutes depending on ingredient density contrast and particle size spread. We recommend a sampling protocol where the customer tests three sample points across the trough at the 5, 10 and 15 minute marks during the first production run to establish the minimum cycle time for their specific blend. Once established, that time setting repeats consistently batch to batch.
