Yes. Freeze dried coffee retains the full aroma and flavor profile of the original bean better than spray dried instant coffee. The brewed coffee is frozen and then sublimated into crystals. The touchscreen program for coffee includes the longer secondary drying phase needed to bring moisture content below the level that causes caking during storage.

The machine is designed for standard household voltage and operates within normal household circuit capacity. Total energy consumption per cycle depends on cycle length and ambient temperature. Running cycles overnight during off peak hours reduces the per batch energy cost. We provide an energy consumption estimate for each model with the quotation.

Remove the trays and wipe the stainless steel chamber interior with warm water and mild detergent, then dry completely before the next batch. A short empty cycle at low temperature after cleaning removes residual odor molecules. We supply a cleaning guide with the machine and recommend dedicating separate trays to strong flavored material.

The vacuum pump requires periodic oil check and oil change per the maintenance schedule in the operation manual. The refrigeration system is sealed and requires no routine maintenance beyond keeping the condenser area clean and ventilated. A maintenance kit including replacement pump oil and filter is available for order.
