Both levers work. Fitting the corresponding mesh screen is the primary control. Fine tuning spindle speed within the 1000 to 2400 rpm range then narrows the distribution. For a tight 40 mesh cut, we recommend starting with the matching screen and dialing speed upward until yield stabilizes.

Blade life on abrasive material depends on hardness and daily run hours. The cutter is designed to be taken down, bench polished with standard grinding equipment and reinstalled at full performance. A local machine shop can do this without specialist tooling.
