The Z arm mixing motors are sized with load headroom above the rated material volume. For wet granulation work, we recommend filling to 70 percent of rated volume rather than full capacity to preserve motor thermal headroom during the high viscosity end of the batch. The electrical control panel sets mixing time in minutes. At the programmed end point the control cuts mixing motor power and the paddle decelerates to stop under its own inertia in two to four seconds depending on load. This soft stop prevents mechanical shock to the paddle shaft and reduces wear on the drive coupling compared to hard stop designs.

The trough tilts to just under 105 degrees, bringing the full interior surface past vertical so gravity pulls bulk material away from the walls. Sticky paste leaves a thin film on the stainless steel surface. For high adhesion paste, a brief low speed paddle run during the tilt phase helps sweep residual material toward the discharge lip. Full interior access after tilt allows manual scrape and washdown for clean changeover.

Yes. The Z arm trough design handles both free flowing powder and medium viscosity wet mass in the same unit. Between material types, rinse the trough with water, wipe the interior surface, and run a brief dry cycle before the powder batch. The 5.5 kW mixing motor on the CWT 300 is rated for both low load dry powder and higher load wet premix within the 300 liter volume.

Standard build is 380V 50Hz three phase. The mixing and pouring motors can be specified for 440V 60Hz three phase for North American and Japanese market customers. Specify your local supply voltage, frequency and phase at order and we configure both motors and the control panel before shipment.
