Q:Do I need a return belt plow if I already have a head pulley cleaner?
A:
Yes. Head pulley cleaners remove carryback, but return plows prevent stray material from the ground or other sources from getting trapped in the tail pulley, which is a leading cause of belt punctures.
Q:How do your cleaners handle mechanical belt splices?
A:
Our primary and secondary cleaners are 'connector friendly,' featuring shock-absorber modules or specialized blade geometry that allows splices to pass without damaging the cleaner or the belt.
Q:Can I use a brush cleaner for sticky materials?
A:
For very sticky or moist materials, we recommend a combination of a primary polyurethane scraper and a secondary tungsten carbide blade. Brushes are better suited for fine, dry particles or cleated belts.
