Powder coating is a dry finishing process that uses finely ground particles of pigment and resin. These particles are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto a surface, where they adhere and are then cured under heat to form a hard, durable finish.

Powder coating can be applied to a wide range of surfaces, including metal (such as steel, aluminum, and zinc), wood, MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and some plastics, provided they are properly pre-treated.

With proper surface preparation and application, powder coating can last for 10 - 20 years or more, depending on the environment and usage conditions.

Powder coating is typically applied using an electrostatic spray gun. The charged powder particles are attracted to the grounded surface and form a uniform coating. After spraying, the coated item is cured in an oven at a specific temperature and time to ensure proper adhesion and curing.
