Custom Made Carbon/Stainless Steel Desk/Chair/Shelf Support Angle Bracket

An angle bracket, also known as an L-bracket or corner brace, is a simple "L"-shaped piece of hardware used to reinforce, join, or support two surfaces at a 90-degree angle. It features holes in both legs for screws or bolts.

The triangular rib (gusset) adds significant rigidity and prevents the bracket from flexing or bending under load. Always choose gusseted brackets for heavy-duty structural applications like supporting shelves, decks, or heavy furniture.

Consider two measurements: Leg Length: The length of each side of the "L" (e.g., 2" x 3"). Choose lengths that provide adequate surface area for mounting on your materials. Material Thickness/Gauge: Thicker metal (a lower gauge number, like 12-gauge) supports more weight than thinner metal (like 18-gauge).

There is no single answer. Load capacity depends on: Bracket Material & Size, Mounting Surface, Fasteners Used, and Load Direction. Always check the manufacturer's load rating. When in doubt, over-engineer-use a larger, thicker bracket than you think you need.

Choose stainless steel (304 or 316 grade) or hot-dipped galvanized steel. Avoid plain steel or simple zinc-plated brackets, as they will rust. Aluminum is also a good rust-proof option for lighter loads.
