The standard white sheet is 100% pure PTFE with no fillers, offering the best chemical inertness and FDA food-contact compliance. For improved wear or creep resistance, filled versions with graphite, carbon fiber, or bronze can be customized, but filled grades are not FDA-compliant.
Q:Which chemicals can it resist? Will it age in strong acids or bases?
A:
Pure PTFE resists almost all strong acids, bases, organic solvents, and oxidizing agents without swelling or degradation. Only molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine at high temperatures attack it. It is ideal for chemical linings and guide strips.
Q:As a guide liner strip, how do its friction coefficient and wear resistance perform?
A:
Pure PTFE has an extremely low friction coefficient (about 0.04-0.1) and self-lubricating properties, but moderate wear resistance. For high loads or frequent sliding, we recommend filled versions with graphite, carbon fiber, or bronze, which can improve wear resistance several times over.
Q:Is this white sheet FDA-compliant or food-grade? Can it be used in food processing equipment?

Pure white PTFE complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 for food contact. It also meets ROHS and REACH regulations, and MSDS is available. Filled versions are not suitable for food contact.

A:
Yes. We can offer single-side sodium naphthalene treatment or adhesive backing to enhance bonding. For installation, epoxy, acrylic adhesive, or mechanical fastening (screws, grooves) can be used. Clean and roughen the surface before bonding.
