Customized Wear-Resistant Self-Lubricating Filled Modified PTFE Plastic Tube for Sealing Assemblies

By adding solid lubricants (e.g., graphite, MoS2) and wear-reinforcing materials (e.g., carbon fiber, glass fiber, bronze powder) into the PTFE matrix, we significantly reduce friction coefficient and improve abrasion resistance. We recommend the optimal filler combination based on your sealing duty - reciprocating, rotary, or high-pressure.

It is ideal for piston seals, guide rings, shaft sealing bushings, and valve stem seals. Compared to rubber, it withstands higher temperatures and nearly all chemicals; compared to pure PTFE, it offers higher compressive strength, creep resistance, and wear resistance, maintaining a stable sealing gap with lower leakage risk.

The PTFE matrix resists almost all strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvents. Fillers (carbon fiber, graphite, MoS2, etc.) are chemically inert and do not compromise corrosion resistance. Only bronze may be affected by strong oxidizing acids - we can offer metal-free formulations for such media.

ID, OD, wall thickness, and length are fully customizable. We can also machine complex cross-sections such as sealing rings, guide strips, lubrication grooves, or seal grooves per your drawings. We accept 2D (PDF/CAD) and 3D (IGES/STEP) files.

We generally recommend a light interference press-fit (interference about 0.1-0.2% of shaft diameter) or clearance fit, depending on the seal design. Due to the self-lubricating nature, no extra lubricant is required for installation; however, if press-fit force is high, a small amount of silicone oil or sealing grease may be applied.
