High Temperature Resistant Self-Adhesive Etched PTFE Sheet One-Side Sodium Etched

It is a pure PTFE sheet with one side chemically treated by sodium etching to make the originally non-stick surface bondable with epoxy, acrylic, rubber adhesives, etc. It is mainly used for linings, gaskets, guide rails, seals, and composite parts with metal or rubber.

The etched side appears dark brown, tan, or dark grey with a slightly rough feel. The untreated side keeps PTFE's natural milky white, smooth, and highly hydrophobic look. A water drop test: water spreads on the etched side but beads up and rolls off the untreated side.

The etching effect gradually decays over time. It is recommended to complete bonding or lamination within 6 months after treatment. Store the sheet covered with PE film, away from direct sunlight, high heat, humidity, or oil contamination. Sheets older than 6 months can be re-evaluated for surface reactivation.

Recommended adhesives include epoxy resin (bisphenol-A type), cyanoacrylate instant glue, polyurethane, and modified acrylic structural adhesive. Always consult your adhesive supplier for compatibility with etched PTFE and perform a small-area test before full application.

Generally, just gently remove loose dust using a clean non-woven cloth or soft brush. Avoid vigorous wiping with organic solvents like alcohol or acetone, as they may damage the etched layer. If the surface is visibly dirty, wash mildly with a neutral detergent solution and dry thoroughly.
