The standard version is virgin PTFE, offering an extremely low friction coefficient, excellent chemical inertness, and a wide temperature range. For large sliding blocks, it provides a self-lubricating, non-stick, corrosion-resistant sliding surface that avoids metal galling, ideal for heavy-load, low-speed reciprocating or rotating movements. Fillers can be added on request to enhance compressive strength and wear resistance.

Compression molding suits large diameters and thick walls with higher density, more uniform internal structure, and better creep and compressive strength - the preferred choice for large sliding blocks. Extrusion suits smaller diameters and long continuous lengths at lower cost, but large-diameter extrusion is slightly inferior in density and dimensional stability. Within the 5-350 mm range, we can recommend the right process based on your block size.

Yes, diameters from 5 to 350 mm are covered. Length is fully customizable: molded rods typically 300-1000 mm, extruded rods continuously produced and cut to any length. For large sliding blocks, we recommend leaving machining allowance based on your finished dimensions.

Virgin PTFE has a compressive strength of about 10-12 MPa. Large-diameter compression molded rods, due to higher density, offer better creep resistance than small extruded rods. If the block bears sustained high pressure, adding glass fiber, carbon fiber, or bronze can raise compressive strength to 25-30 MPa and significantly reduce cold flow.

Virgin PTFE has a dynamic friction coefficient of about 0.04-0.1, among the lowest of solid materials, but wear resistance is moderate. For frequent sliding or particle-laden conditions, adding carbon fiber, graphite, MoS2, or bronze can improve wear resistance by 3-5 times while maintaining low friction.
