Graphite or MoS2 are the best choices. They offer the lowest dynamic friction coefficients (0.05-0.10) and provide solid boundary lubrication, eliminating stick-slip and reducing start-up torque.

Only virgin PTFE retains high dielectric strength (60-100 kV/mm). Any filler, especially carbon or copper, drastically reduces insulation. If moderate insulation is acceptable, glass fiber or MoS2 (15-30 kV/mm) can be considered, but never use carbon or copper for electrical components.

PTFE itself is chemically inert, but fillers may be attacked by certain aggressive media. Glass fiber is vulnerable to strong alkalis and hydrofluoric acid; copper powder dissolves in oxidizing acids (e.g., nitric acid). We can advise on compatibility and adjust the formulation or recommend pure PTFE when full chemical resistance is mandatory.
