Single Etched PTFE Skived Sheet for Chemical Tank Lining with Customized Dimension

100% virgin PTFE resists almost all strong acids, strong bases, and organic solvents. It does not react with media and has no extractables. It is therefore ideal for chemical tank lining, especially for storing highly corrosive chemicals.

Dimensions are fully customizable. Thickness typically ranges from 0.2 mm to 6.5 mm, width from 100 mm to 2700 mm, and length by roll or cut sheet. We accept 2D drawings (PDF/CAD) and 3D models (IGES/STEP), and can slit, splice, or die-cut to actual tank dimensions, reducing on-site waste.

Before installation, blast or grind the steel interior to remove oil and rust, then apply a structural adhesive (e.g., epoxy or polyurethane). Press the etched side onto the surface and cure under pressure. Note ambient temperature and humidity to ensure full curing. For large areas, overlap joints and seal them additionally.

Pure PTFE tends to cold flow, but as a lining, it is bonded and supported by the steel tank, which provides mechanical constraint to effectively suppress cold flow. Choose an appropriate thickness and ensure full adhesive coverage without voids. For high-temperature, high-pressure service, filled modified PTFE may be considered, but filled grades are not food-grade.

PTFE cannot be heat-welded, but it can be spliced by overlap bonding or hot-air welding with PTFE rods (special equipment required). A more common approach is to cut the sheet into sections, bond the etched side, and seal the overlaps with PTFE sealing tape or specialized adhesive to ensure a continuous anti-corrosion layer.
