Superior Filled Modified Molded PTFE Tube Increases Compressive Strength, Rigidity and Wear

We offer carbon fiber, glass fiber, graphite, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), bronze powder, carbon powder, and combinations. Carbon fiber and glass fiber significantly boost compressive strength and rigidity (elastic modulus). Graphite and MoS2 reduce friction and enhance self-lubrication. Bronze improves thermal conductivity and creep resistance. Carbon-based fillers provide electrical conductivity/anti-static properties. Choose the optimum formulation based on your working conditions.

Molding allows higher filler loading (up to 40%) with more uniform distribution, yielding higher density and extremely low porosity. Molded tubes offer superior compressive strength, rigidity, and dimensional stability compared to extruded ones, especially for high-pressure, large-diameter, or tight-tolerance applications.

Wear resistance (e.g., abrasive wheel tests) can be 3-5 times higher. This tubing is ideal for continuous friction scenarios such as abrasive-laden fluid transport, reciprocating guide sleeves, and rotating shaft protective sleeves, effectively reducing debris generation and prolonging equipment life.

The PTFE matrix retains excellent chemical resistance, resisting almost all strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvents. Most fillers (glass, graphite, MoS2) are also corrosion-resistant; bronze and carbon require caution in strong oxidizing acids, but are fully suitable for oils, water, salt solutions, and mild acids/bases.
