Shacman 4X2 Insulated Boom Aerial Work Vehicle

45kV is the phase-to-phase voltage rating. This truck can safely perform live-line work on distribution systems up to 45kV phase-to-phase. It's fully suitable for common 10kV, 13.8kV, 22kV, and 33kV networks. The boom and basket are made of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic). Each insulated section undergoes individual high-voltage testing, with certified reports shipped with the truck.

A standard boom is all-steel and conductive it must never touch live parts. Our insulated boom sections are made of FRP filament-wound tubing with high dielectric strength. The basket has a leakage current monitor that displays real-time insulation status. If leakage exceeds the safe limit, an audible and visual alarm alerts the operator to evacuate.

Equipotential bonding connects the basket, operator, and live conductor into a single potential like a bird on a high-voltage wire, no current flows because there's no potential difference. The basket includes standard bonding cables and a grounding system. With proper PPE, the operator works safely on energized lines.

Articulating boom has clear advantages for distribution line live work. Distribution networks are a maze of conductors, cross-arms, and transformers. The articulating boom folds joint by joint to place the basket exactly behind obstacles. A straight telescopic boom often cannot navigate this web of wires.

21m is the maximum working height (ground to basket floor). Maximum horizontal outreach is about 12m, varying with boom angle and basket load. We provide a detailed load chart showing the permitted work envelope at every configuration.
