It uses depth filtration where raw water percolates through a graded particle bed. Suspended materials attach to media, and clean water exits via nozzles. When pressure differential increases, backwashing cleans the bed.

Q:How does the automatic backwashing process work?

A pressure differential switch senses when the filter reaches a preset value and signals the controller to begin backwashing. Pressurized water flows in reverse to suspend the filter bed and wash out dirt particles.
