Q:What is the working principle of the sand filter?
A:
Raw water enters the filter inlet and percolates through a thick layer of graded particles (filter bed). Suspended materials attach to the media, and clean water exits through filtration nozzles. When pressure differential increases, the system triggers an automatic backwash cleaning process.
Q:How is the automatic backwash process triggered?
A:
In automatic installations, a pressure differential switch senses when the pressure across the filter reaches a preset maximum value. It then sends a signal to the controller to start the self-cleaning process, where pressurized water flows in reverse to wash out dirt particles.
Q:What are the maximum and minimum pressure requirements?
A:
The minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa (2 Bar), and the maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (10 Bar). The minimum backwash pressure required is 2 Bar.
Q:Can the tank size and quantity be customized?
A:
Yes, the system supports customization with tank quantities ranging from 1 to 10. Tank sizes are available from 16 to 96 inches, and housing materials can be selected as Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel.
