The datasheet specifies 4500V repetitive peak off state voltage with VGR at least 2V. Page 5 also shows how forward blocking voltage changes with gate cathode resistance and negative gate voltage, making gate bias an important part of the blocking condition.

Q:What gate drive is required to turn off the full 2000A current?

At 2000A maximum controllable turn off current, the specified peak turn off gate current is 725A with a negative gate current rise rate of 30A/us. The gate drive therefore needs to be matched to the high current GTO turn off requirements.
