Ceiling mounting provides a broad 360-degree top-down presence zone over an entire room, making it optimal for general lighting automation. Wall mounting directs the radar beam horizontally, which is better suited for headboard breathing detection, desk area monitoring, and directional entry tracking.

Because high-frequency radar detects physical displacement, high-volume airflow blowing directly against curtains, plants, or metal fan blades can produce radar reflections. Proper positioning away from direct air vents and adjusting radar sensitivity thresholds minimizes these false triggers.
