DPI is resolution: measured in DPI (dots per inch), common ones are 203dpi, 300dpi, 600dpi, etc. The higher the resolution, the finer the print. 203dpi: basic logistics labels, thick barcodes (such as shipping labels). 300dpi: fine barcodes (such as medical labels), small text or simple graphics. 600dpi: high-precision images, micro text (such as electronic component labels, anti-counterfeiting labels).

The print head is a precision electronic component and is usually not repairable. It is recommended to replace it directly.

Depending on the frequency of use, media type and maintenance, it is generally 30-50 km in length, and some industrial print heads can print up to 100 km in length.

Thermal transfer printing: requires a ribbon, and the printed content is durable, suitable for long-term labels (such as logistics and warehousing). Thermal printing: no ribbon is required, and the thermal paper is directly heated to develop color, but the inside is easy to fade (such as cash register receipts).

The interior of the print head is composed of tiny heating elements (dot matrix). After power is turned on, the heating elements are selectively heated according to the printing signal, so that the ribbon coating melts and transfers to the surface of the medium to form a clear image or text.
