Product Q&A
Q:What kind of heater should I use for the tool holder?
A:
You must use a dedicated heater for stainless steel shrink fit tool holders. The safe heating range is 300 to 450 degrees Celsius, and the temperature must never exceed 700 degrees Celsius. We recommend using the original factory heating equipment.
Q:What type of pull studs are required for BT and ISO series holders?
A:
BT and ISO series tool holders must use through-hole pull studs with air vents.
Q:How deep should the tool be inserted into the holder?
A:
The tool insertion depth must exceed the tool installation mark line on the holder, but it must not touch the bottom of the holder bore. The cutting edge of the tool must not be lower than the mouth of the holder bore.
Q:How do I install and remove the tool safely?
A:
Use a special tool retaining ring for shrink fit holders to set the insertion length, preventing the tool from falling into the holder bore. Never force the tool out. If removal is difficult, reheat the holder until the tool can be safely removed.
Q:How should I clean and store the tool holder?
A:
Before use, wipe both the holder and the tool to remove chips, dust, and oil. After use, remove the tool, clean the holder thoroughly, and spray anti-rust oil before storage.
