Q:How to choose the suitable BMS?

Please tell me the following 3 questions: Is your battery pack 3.7V Li-ion or 3.2V LiFePO4? How many cells in series? What is the peak power watt of your load or motor? What kind of application do you want to use the battery pack for?

Q:How to activate the BMS?

For our smart BMS, activation is required on first use. Method 1: Purchase the power board with an activation switch and click the button. Method 2: Press the button on the Bluetooth module directly. Method 3: Charge activation by connecting the B-line to the total negative pole of the battery pack.

Q:What is the balance function and do we need cell balance?

When a cell voltage reaches the balance voltage (Li-ion 4.18V, LiFePO4 3.6V), the balance function starts with 35mA discharge resistance. If the cell voltage difference is large, the equilibrium effect is almost zero, and the solution is to replace cells with large voltage gaps.

Q:What type of charger should I choose?

Lithium batteries must use specific chargers, not lead-acid chargers. For LiFePO4, voltage equals number of strings x 3.6V. For Li-ion, voltage equals number of strings x 4.2V.
