The product forms a tack-free surface in 10-20 minutes at room temperature (25). For a functional cure (enough to withstand low pressure), we recommend waiting 1-2 hours. A full, deep-section cure is achieved in 24 hours. However, if you need to start the engine sooner, heat accelerates the process - curing time can be reduced to 1-2 hours at 100. Always ensure the flange is clean and dry for optimal results.

For best adhesion, we strongly recommend cleaning the surface with a degreaser or brake cleaner before application. While the cured silicone has excellent resistance to engine oil, transmission fluids, gear oils, coolants, and antifreeze, uncured material will not bond properly to heavy oil films. Once fully cured, the sealant forms a chemical-resistant elastomer that withstands most automotive and industrial fluids without swelling or deterioration - even under continuous oil immersion.

The shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in its original, unopened container. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally at temperatures between 5 and 30. Do not freeze. Once opened, we suggest using the entire cartridge within 30 days to avoid moisture absorption, which can cause premature curing. Always recap tightly after each use.
