Common reasons include adding too much silicone oil which destroys molecular weight, adding excessive catalyst (more than 2% for tin cure) which reduces tension, or using the wrong hardness for the product design.

Q:Why does the silicone mold get burnt out?

This occurs when using unsaturated resin which generates heat. You must demould the product within 3 minutes. Our rubber contains special materials to resist high temperatures.

Q:Why does the silicone mould appear dry outside but wet inside?

This is typical for condensation silicone rubber which absorbs moisture. To fix it, add 0.05% water and stir briefly at low speed before use.

Q:Why is the tear strength of silicone molds weak?

Weakness is caused by adding too much silicone oil, adding too much catalyst (recommended max 5%, ideally 2%), or using the mold prematurely before 24 hours.

Q:Why does the mold silicone have poor tension?
