This is often caused by adding too much silicone oil which destroys molecular weight, or adding too much catalyst (more than 2%) which speeds up operation and reduces strength. Also, using high hardness rubber for small intricate designs or low hardness for large simple designs can cause issues.

Burnt out molds occur when using unsaturated resin materials without demolding within 3 minutes, as the curing agent generates great heat. Our silicone rubber contains special materials to resist high temperatures and prevent this.

As a condensation silicone rubber, it solidifies by absorbing moisture from the air. To ensure shelf-life, we dry out the water. Solution: Add 0.05% water into the silicone rubber and stir briefly at low speed when using.

Weak tear strength is caused by adding too much silicone oil, adding too much catalyst (we recommend no more than 5%, ideally 2%), or using the mold prematurely. We recommend waiting 24 hours after mold completion before use.

Poor tension results from adding large amounts of silicone oil to reduce viscosity, making the rubber too soft. This leads to short service life and fewer mold turnovers. The mold is not durable under these conditions.
