Q:What is a PCD cup wheel used for?
A:
It is designed for floor renovation to strip epoxy, PU coating, carpet glue, old paint, waterproof membrane, bitumen and thick putty on concrete. It focuses on coating removal, not concrete polishing.
Q:Can I use it for dry grinding?
A:
Dry grinding is preferred to avoid material gumming. Wet grinding is also available, but slurry disposal is required. Dust mask is necessary for dry work.
Q:What is the difference between PCD cup wheel and normal diamond cup wheel?
A:
Standard diamond cup wheels grind concrete. PCD cup wheels shear off sticky coatings. For thick epoxy removal, PCD works much faster and will not get loaded easily.
Q:Will it damage the concrete substrate?
A:
With proper operation, it only removes surface coatings without deep gouging. Too much pressure or staying in one spot will create deep scratches. After stripping, use diamond tools to level the concrete.
Q:Which machines does it fit? What arbor sizes are available?
A:
Fits angle grinders and floor grinders. Common arbor: M14, 5/8"-11, 22.23mm. Sizes: 105mm,115mm,125mm,180mm,230mm. Custom sizes available.
