Q:What iron ore grade is suitable for single stage one step DRI rotary kiln?
A:
Single stage process is fit for raw hematite ore with iron grade above 58 percent. Low grade ore below 50 percent will cause heavy kiln ring formation, high coal consumption and poor finished quality. Two stage combined process is recommended for low grade raw ore.
Q:What is the main reductant for this coal based sponge iron rotary kiln?
A:
Non coking coal such as anthracite coal or lignite works as reductant. It generates carbon monoxide inside high temperature kiln to finish solid phase reduction reaction. Expensive coke is not required for this technology.
Q:What is the working temperature range of the kiln?
A:
The working temperature range is from 700 to 1100 degree celsius.
