Diesel Engine Driven High Pressure Concrete Pump with Large Output

There are two main types: boom pumps and trailer line pumps. Boom pumps have an articulating arm, ideal for high-rise buildings and wide-coverage job sites. Trailer pumps deliver concrete through ground-laid pipelines, reaching over 1,000 meters horizontally, perfect for obstacle-filled or confined spaces. The choice depends on your pouring height, site conditions, and budget.

Pumpable concrete must have good workability. Key controls: maximum aggregate size to pipe diameter ratio should not exceed 1:3, fine sand passing 0.315mm sieve should be at least 15%, and slump should be between 80-230mm. Poor mix design is a leading cause of blockages-always conduct trial mixes based on pumping height and pipe diameter

First, stop pumping immediately and perform forward-reverse pump cycles to try pulling concrete back into the hopper for remixing. If ineffective, tap the pipeline with a small hammer: a dull sound indicates the blockage point, while a crisp sound means normal flow. Blockages often occur at bends and tapered pipes. Once located, dismantle the pipe and clean it with high-pressure water or a heavy hammer before reinstalling

Priming means pumping a layer of cement slurry or rich-mix concrete before the actual concrete pour, creating a lubricating layer on the pipe wall to reduce friction resistance. Procedure: pump the grout mixture through the line first, confirm it exits at the discharge end, then begin continuous concrete pumping. The priming slurry should be collected separately and not used for structural pouring.

For short interruptions (within 15-30 minutes), start the pump every 5-10 minutes and perform forward-reverse cycles to prevent initial setting inside the pipe. If interrupted for over 45 minutes, immediately dismantle and clean the pipeline, remove all concrete, re-prime, then resume pumping. Prolonged stoppage can cause concrete to set inside the pipe, leading to severe blockages or even pipe damage.
