Q:What is the difference between reverse circulation (RC) drill rig and forward circulation drill rig?
A:
The core difference lies in the slag discharge mode. RC drill rig adopts 'outside-in' circulation: flushing fluid flows from the annulus to the hole bottom, and carries cuttings back through the drill pipe inner cavity. It has faster slag discharge (30%-50% higher efficiency), less bottom sediment, and is more suitable for large-diameter and deep-hole operations in complex formations (pebble, hard rock). Forward circulation is only suitable for shallow, small-diameter drilling in soft formations
Q:What formations can the RC drill rig work on?
A:
It has strong adaptability, applicable to clay, sand, pebble layer, cemented gravel, medium weathered rock and hard rock. It can also work in arid, water-scarce and remote areas, meeting harsh working environment requirements.
