Fixed correction coefficients are set for various metals: stainless steel 0.7, brass 0.4, aluminum 0.3, copper 0.2. The actual sensing distance will decrease proportionally when detecting non-ferrous metals.
Q:What is the difference between flush shielded and non-shielded IM50 sensors?
A:
Flush shielded type can be fully embedded into metal mounting holes without performance attenuation, anti-collision for moving workpieces; non-shielded type has longer 20mm detection distance, but cannot be attached to metal panels for installation.
Q:What is the safe stable detection distance in actual use?
A:
15mm model stable range 0~12.1mm; 20mm model stable range 0~16.2mm, signal jitter easily occurs near the nominal distance under equipment vibration.
