Q:What is the difference between White Mesh and Yellow Mesh?
A:
White Mesh is more economical and works well for lower mesh counts.
Yellow Mesh is treated to prevent "light scattering" (halation) during UV exposure. It is essential for high-mesh counts (above 200) to ensure sharp edges and fine-detail retention in the stencil.
Q:Why is Polyester preferred over Nylon for screen printing?
A:
Polyester has much lower elongation (less stretch) than Nylon. This allows the mesh to maintain high tension and dimensional stability, which is critical for accurate registration in multi-color printing. Nylon is only preferred for printing on curved or highly irregular surfaces due to its elasticity.
Q:Is the mesh compatible with all types of ink?
A:
Yes. Our polyester mesh is chemically resistant and compatible with Water-based, Plastisol, UV-cured, and Solvent-based inks. It also withstands the harsh chemicals used during the reclaiming and cleaning process.
