No. It works fully by tap water pressure, no power supply needed.

Q:Can this filter remove heavy metals or bacteria?

It is pre-filtration equipment without RO or UF membrane. It removes sediment, chlorine and odor, but cannot effectively remove heavy metal ions and bacteria.

Q:How often should I replace the filter cartridges?

Recommendation: PP cartridge 3 - 6 months. UDF & CTO carbon cartridges 6 - 12 months. Replacement cycle depends on local raw water quality.
