Pure sine wave output closely mimics the smooth, clean sine wave of utility power. It is ideal for sensitive electronics, motors, audio/video equipment, and any device that might suffer from noise, heat, or interference. Modified sine wave is a less complex and less costly waveform. It works fine for many simple appliances (lights, some tools, chargers), but may cause issues (noise, heat, lowered lifespan) with sensitive equipment.

To size your inverter properly, consider two things: Continuous (running) power: sum of power (watts) of all appliances/devices you plan to run at the same time.
