DIN 7603 Type A is a solid flat sealing ring - one piece of material with no filler and no coating layer - used as a static seal under threaded plugs, hollow screws and banjo fittings on compression couplings, pipe fittings and port plugs. In service the annealed copper yields under tightening load and flows into the surface roughness of both faces, closing the leak path (a metal-to-metal static seal).

No. A DIN 7603 copper gasket is a one-time crush seal: after tightening it has flowed into the surface roughness of both faces, so it is not reusable after disassembly. Fit a new gasket on reassembly - this is also why we recommend keeping spare rings with every service kit.
