Check if packing is in good condition and if the appearance matches the test certificate. Shake the interrupter to ensure the ceramic envelope is integrated. Test power frequency withstand voltage before operation. Clean the surface with a dry or alcohol-damped cloth. Apply 70% of rated power frequency withstand voltage between open contacts for 1 minute; the unit is qualified if there is no sudden change or trip.

Clean the surface with cotton or alcohol-dipped silk cloth before mounting. Clean conducting poles and electric connection surfaces for good contact. Adjust the interrupter in line with the equipment ensuring mechanical data meets specifications. Provide a guide unit during operation and ensure coaxality of the moving conducting pole. Do not strike the envelope with hard objects to avoid cracks.

Ensure the conducting pole is coaxial with the interrupter and vertical to the fixed end face. Do not disassemble repeatedly to prevent screw slipping. Avoid twisting the moving conducting pole or over-pressing the bellow to prevent torque force and scratches. Ensure force applied on the end faces does not exceed the static relief pressure.

Periodically check the vacuum interrupter using power frequency withstand voltage. Also, check the contact burnout status. When the burnout mark appears on the moving conducting pole, the electrical endurance is finished and the unit should be replaced.

The rated voltage is 24 kV and the rated current options are 400 A or 630 A.
