The self-inducting feature allows the nozzle to draw in air to create foam without an external air supply. It works by creating a pressure differential that sucks in air through the foam inspiration tube. It's optional because in some applications, users may prefer to use an external air source for more controlled foam generation, or they may not need the self-inducting feature depending on the fire suppression system setup.

Consider the flow rate requirements of your system. If your system has a lower flow rate capacity, a smaller inlet size like 5" (40 mm) may be sufficient. For higher flow rate needs, choose a larger inlet size such as 2" (50 mm) or 2.5" (65 mm). Also, ensure the inlet size is compatible with your existing piping and connections in the fire suppression system.

The ZPQC foam nozzle is designed to work with foam concentrates at 3% or 6% proportions. As long as the foam concentrate is compatible with the materials of the nozzle (such as the hard anodized aluminum body and SS304 stainless-steel foam inspiration tube) and is formulated for low-expansion foam applications, it can be used. However, always check the manufacturer's guidelines for specific compatibility.

An ABS ball valve is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, which can provide smooth operation and a long service life in normal environments. An aluminum valve, on the other hand, is more robust and can withstand higher pressures and more demanding conditions. The choice depends on the specific operating environment and the user's preference for durability and performance characteristics.

Regularly inspect the foam inspiration tube for any signs of blockage, corrosion, or damage. After each use, flush it with clean water to remove any residual foam concentrate. Periodically, check the connections to ensure they are secure. If the tube is exposed to harsh chemicals or environments, more frequent inspections may be needed.
